Athletic Armor
$100
Sports came along way in the 20th and 21st centuries. From their humble beginnings in Salt Lake City, Pit and Skullchucker rose to international prominence. Other, less violent sports, such as Football, Soccer, and Baseball also experienced great popularity. Each sport became a multi-billion dollar industry by the time of the Big Bang. Most major cities had a their own teams. Amateur and little leagues, as well as college and high school teams combined with the professional teams to create a vast market for protective gear. Advances in lightweight and incredibly strong plastic, known variously as implast (impact plastic), complastic (composite plastic), shock plastic, etc., resulted in athletic protective armor of very light weight and yet great protection.
Sport armor was created to protect athletes from blunt impact injury (tackles, skullchucker sticks, hockey sticks, etc.) on the playfield. This armor was not designed to protect against firearms or other high-velocity projectile weapons. Therefore, the armor has two armor values, one against hand-to-hand weapons, explosions, and man-powered projectile weapons (spears, arrows, etc.) and another against firearms.

Faraway Full Environmental Infantry Battle-suit
$2000
This Battle-suit was a one of the most used armor suits. Its Armor Value is considerably less and has no strength enhancements but is more versatile and can be worn even with no power. The power cells on this unit are not located on the back but on the right side above the hip. Unlike the power-armors these suits only use power for the environmental functions. It's main function was the protection, it Armor Value is 2. The suit's environmental ability only works when the helmet and faceplate is attached to the full suit and an air supply. Once in use, depending on your air supply, the use can protect the wearer from any environmental harm (like gasses, heat, cold, etc.) with the same Armor Value [1 drain per 10 minutes], including a vacuum like space. The suit also has a communication and night vision system built into the helmet (the helmet options maybe used independent of the suit as long as a power source is supplied) [1 drain per hour]. The helmet is built to allow any of the accessories that are meant for power armor.

Junker Battlesuit*
$9700
The Infantry Battlesuit is by-and-far the best in normally made armor, but of course Junkers arenít satisfied by the same-old-thing. "Bigger and better" is their motto. So in a fitting form here is a suit made in much the same way as its normal counter part. The suit is a woven mesh of cloth and Ghost Steel, with several plates of Ghost Steel in key areas. The look of the suit is up to the Junker making it but the guy who showed it to me made it look like a bright yellow leisure suit (no starch needed for those lapels). Of course if you find the right Junker they can make one that protects from supernatural attacks.

Plasteel Armor
$2000
A small Lynchburg defense company came up with a new material by marrying several metals mesh designs into a plastic mold. The result was Plasteel. As resistant as most ballistic armor but slightly lighter and thinner. While the construction of the armor wasnít hard the costs in making it made the armor less cost affective to the government and the contract fell through shortly before the bombs fell. A warehouse full of the armor laid unclaimed for nearly four years after the bombs until a sacavy found it and brought it to Junkyard. There are several units worth still for sell but the cost of these suckers is pretty steep. An AV 2 (all locations) unit will set you back some 2000 Widgits, and it donít come with a helmet. There are AV 3 units but theyíre 3500 Widgits a unit.

This site is a Deadlands: Hell on Earth fan site. Deadlands is the property of the Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Hell on Earth is a post apocalyptic, alternate history setting. I use both the "Classic" rules and well as the Savage rules for this site (sorry no D20...yet). By default the rules for everything are "Classic" but by clicking on "Smiling Jack" (the Savage Worlds' logo) at the bottom of the navigation pannel you can change (almost) all the rules information to Savage Worlds. Have fun, enjoy and please let me know what you think or if there are any problems, questions or you would like to submit something/content.
